Kirsten Simone Vandgsness, a American actor, playwright, as well as a writer for the police procedural crime drama television series "Criminal Minds". She gained fame after her appearance on the show as "Penelope Garcia" on the television program. Kirsten vangsness also appeared in both of the spin-offs "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" and "Criminal Minds: suspect behavior". Apart from her roles as a television actor Vangsness has also appeared in small roles in films after making her acting debut in 1998. She has had notable roles in films such as 'In My Sleep, The Chicago 8", as well as 'Kill Me, Deadly.' Alongside writing articles for the 'The Los Angeles Times', she is also a co-writer of three episodes for the show 'Criminal Minds'.
